On Monday we decided to take a little getaway Friday and Saturday night for Memorial Day Weekend. We knew it would be hard to find a place to stay on Memorial Day weekend with no advance planning, but we were able to find a cabin at Soldier Mtn. Ranch near Fairfield. So we packed up the kids and plenty of food and spent Friday and Saturday night. It was a great place to take the kids. They had some room to roam and explore. We saw some deer and a cute little family of geese made it's home in the pond out our cabin window. We took a walk around the property and made it back just in time, we missed a mega rainstorm.
Saturday afternoon we took a little drive up to Pine/Anderson Reservoir. It was nice to get away, even if it was a quick trip!
P.S. Notice Ethan and Kelsie aren't pictured much....They were much too busy exploring to have their picture taken!!!

I see we all had the same Idea this weekend.. We were up there on Sunday since the weather was suppose to be the best that day.. It was so beautiful.. We even visited the Little City of Rocks just to go exploring and take our family photo's... I love the photo's the kids look like they had a really great time. Did you watch So You Think You Can Dance last night? It was so funny.... What a show one of my fav's too.
What a beautiful place. Never been there. Looks like a perfect family weekend.
