Soccer

Kelsie is playing soccer with Parks & Rec. She isn't the most competitive person and she really doesn't like to run a lot, so at times I wonder what I was thinking when I signed her up for soccer. We have had fun going to watch and she enjoys it, so it hasn't been a total waste. Last Saturday at her game the coach put the only three girls on the team in front of the goalie as defenders. This is what happened:

Three little girls talking, laughing, and playing with each others hair. It was quite a sight let me tell you. Any way at least they are having fun. At today's game the coach did not put the girls together. I think that she
learned from last week. Here are a few other pictures of Kelsie playing, goalie, etc.

Crawdad Fry

After the football game we went to some friends house because they were having a crawdad fry. They had gone to Salmon Dam and caught a ton of crawdads the day before and kept them in a big cooler. Kelsie and Kamrin got a kick out of the whole thing! Kelsie loves seafood, all kinds so she was all for the whole experience. Kamrin wasn't quite as sure about the whole thing, but she did try a few new things. I was very disappointed because the mercury level at Salmon dam is a little high, so I couldn't eat any of it to protect the baby. We definitely have to try this again though!!

Homecoming

This week was Homecoming week at the high school and boy has it been crazy around here. In fact it has been soooo crazy that I almost forgot that I am way pregnant!! I am a little relieved that I didn't have the baby in the middle of all of this like I thought that I might. It would have been so hard for me not to be there to watch the girls dance at the parade and assembly and be there for all of the activities that we had to participate in this week. We sure had fun. The week ended on a good note last night when Filer won the Homecoming game!

Filer has never gone 4-0 in school history, so we are very excited. We have really enjoyed the games so far. We don't have another home game for two weeks, so I should be able to attend the next one and not be pregnant. That should make sitting through the game much easier.
Being a part of this week made me think back to Homecoming week at good 'ol BHS. I remember how much fun it was. The assemblies, skits, and figuring out what to wear for each of the dress up days. I actually get a little nervous for the girls as they get ready to perform on that big field with the lights blaring and the cool air all around. I really do love this time of the year. In fact it is probably my favorite time of the year.

Kelsie's First Official Day of Kindergarten

Today Kamrin and I took Kelsie to school for her first day of Kindergarten. She is so excited and ready to learn!! She is very independent and I know that she will do well in school. She wasn't happy about me bringing the camera with me to the classroom, however when all of the other mothers were there taking pictures she softened up a bit and let me take a few pictures without complaining too much. I had to be quick though because she wouldn't allow any retakes. Kamrin is having a bit of a hard time though, Kelsie has only been gone for about an hour and she is already saying that she misses "Kels." I think that it will be good for me and Kamrin to have a little bit of time alone together. I am having a bit of a hard time myself. It is much too quiet around here. However, I shouldn't complain because as soon as this baby comes things are sure to change around here!!

Kamrin's First Day of Dance

Today was Kamrin's first day of dance class. Isn't she sooo cute!! She was so excited that last night she got all of her things together, so that she would be ready for this morning. She woke up and ate her breakfast, made her bed, and got ready without one single complaint. Too bad every day isn't dance day!

New Layout

Since I've had a little free time on my hands I have been able to complete another page. I think that I have grown rather attached to photoshop. It's a lot of fun, but there is soooo much to learn!
