Kyler slept peacefully while his sisters played! They can't wait until he can join in on the fun!!

Kelsie is starting to ride the 4 wheeler much better now. She loves to ride! She hit her mouth on her dogs head right before going riding and they are super loose. She is showing htem off in the first picture. She is a character!

Finally, A nicer day!!

Today we finally got a little bit of nicer weather here! We had to go to the property that we bought to fix the gated pipe before the pasture grass was planted. We left the house at about 9 and went to buy the gates, ate breakfast at a little diner, and went to get the 4 wheelers to take to the property with us. Josh, the kids and I spent the whole morning/afternoon at the property. Chad, Sted, and their kids joined us later and then we all went for ice cream! The pictures above are of Kam, She had a lot of fun and then came home and crashed!!

Kyler is 7 months!!

Kyler is 7 months old today! Time is flying! I was so excited that he felt a little better today so that I could snap a few photos of his cute smile! We have had quite the week around here! He has not felt well at all. He got a little bit of a cold and it sure got to him. He hasn't been himself all week. We had to make a few visits to the doctor and are waiting for some test results so that we can figure out what we have to do to help him get better. We did find out that he has a eye condition called exotropia, on top of everything else and we will be seeing a pediatric opthamologist is Boise in June to hopefully see where we are with that. I tell you it has sure been quite the week here! Every time we see a doctor it seems as if something else is wrong! He has made it to the 15 lb. mark, so that is good. We are now in the 4th percentile for weight, and the 99th for height. Kyler is starting to recognize more and more people and smiles when he hears certain people. We love hearing him jabber and try to talk to us! He is such a joy to have around!

The Little Red Hen

I'm learning every day how smart kids can be. Today we got dinner going a little bit later than normal. I kept asking Josh to help me out a little bit so that we could eat a little faster. Josh was watching a basketball game and was not being much help. Kelsie was helping and told Josh that he was like the bird, the dog and the chicks. I asked her what she meant by that and she said that he could have no dinner because the little red hen had done all of the work and that her dad was like the chick, the dog, and the bird and wanted to eat, but wouldn't offer their help. It just made me laugh, she sure knows what to say at the right time!

Swimming

We decided that it was time for us to go Swimming. We'd been talking about going with some friends for a long time and we decided that it was time. We packed up the kids when Chad and Josh got home from work and headed for a local indoor hot springs. We ate first at a nice little restaurant and then headed for the pool. The kids had a ton of fun. Kyler enjoyed his first swimming experience very much. The older kids had water fights, swam underwater, and had a great relaxing evening together!

Do any of these sound familiar to any of you???

You Know You Grew Up In the 80's if:

1. You've ever ended a sentence with the word SIKE.

2. You can sing the rap to the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and can do the Carlton dance

3. It was actually worth getting up early on a Saturday to watch cartoons.

4. You wore a ponytail on the side of your head.

5. You got super-excited when it was Oregon Trail day in computer class at school. ( I had seriously forgotten this game, I can now see the deer and rabbits shooting across the screen!)

6. You made your mom buy one of those clips that would hold your shirt in a knot on the side.

7. You played the game 'MASH'(Mansion, Apartment, Shelter, House) (What was a slumber party without this game?)

8. You wore stonewashed Jordache jean jackets and were proud of it.

9. You have ever pondered why Smurfette was the only female smurf.

10. You took lunch boxes to school...and traded Garbage Pailkids in the schoolyard.

11. You still get the urge to say 'NOT' after every sentence.

12. You thought your childhood friends would never leave because you exchanged handmade friendship bracelets.

13. You ever owned a pair of Jelly-Shoes.

14. You remember going to the skating rink before there were inline skates.

15. You remember boom boxes and walking around with one on your shoulder like you were all that.

16. You thought Doogie Howser/Samantha Micelli was hot.

17. You remember New Kids on the Block when they were cool...and don't even flinch when people refer to them as 'NKOTB'

18. You knew all the characters names and their life stories on 'Saved By The Bell,' The ORIGINAL class.

19. You know all the words to Bon Jovi - SHOT THROUGH THE HEART.

20. You just sang those words to yourself.

21. You still sing 'We are the World'

22. You tight rolled your jeans.

23. You owned a bannana clip.

24. You're still singing shot through the heart in your head, aren't you?

Wow, this brought back some memories!!!

Doctors, Doctors, and more Doctors.....

Where do I start with this one.... We have had quite the week already. First, we took Kyler for his 6 month well check. We were finally able to get in with our favorite doctor. Kyler has grown in length and is now 28.5 inches long. This puts him in the 90th percentile. His head is big, a whoppin 45 inches putting him in the 80th percentile for head circumference. Here's the catch he is still only 15 lbs. 8 oz. so that puts him a little over the fifth percentile for weight. He can't quite sit up and has a hard time holding his head up for long periods of time. (I don't blame him, it's kind of big!!) Now that he hasn't gained a lot of weight still and he has a few other symptoms of certain disorders the pediatrician wants us to take Kyler up to Primary Children's and have some tests run. That sounded good to me, I want to do everything I can to help him grow and be strong. Then, Kels had seen a doctor last week because she breathes weird when she is sleeping and makes funny noises. She holds her mouth open a lot, like she can't breathe well out of her nose. The pediatrician said that maybe she had something in her nose that made it hard for her to breathe. So he referred her to an ENT to have it checked out. He looked in her nose and said there were no obstructions so that was good. He then proceeds to look down her throat and says AHHH... I see the problem. She has huge tonsils and that usually means large adenoids, thus solving the problem. He decided to schedule her for a Tonsil and adenoidectomy, when he asks if she's ever had surgery I told him yes tubes at 18 months. He said oh, lets check those out while we are here. One is gone and the other was in the ear canal and he removes it. He noticed that there is a lot of scar tissue in her left ear canal and asks if she can hear well. I told him that she does well in school and seems to hear me fine. He decided to do a hearing test just to make sure all is well. He comes and gets me after awhile and I watch her retake the test because she failed it. So after failing two hearing tests it is determined that she is partially deaf in the left ear. This mad me feel pretty bad. How is it possible that she can't hear and I didn't know it. She reads well, never complains about not being able to hear. Thankfully, she has better hearing in the other ear and has not been too effected developmentally. So now the doctor will remover her tonsils, adenoids, the scar tissue, and put in a new set of tubes next month after she takes medication to remove all of the fluid build up in her ears that is there because her ear doesn't work correctly!

So it looks like it is going to be quite the month around here!! I am just grateful that despite these things my kids are pretty healthy and these are only minor things compared to what they could be!!
To make me fell better me and Stef went to DQ and had a very good blizzard! Tin Roof Brownie, it's the blizzard of the month and it is ooh so good!!

Random stuff......

This is how Josh spent his Saturday. We were in shorts and flip flops playing out in the park and he was in the snow!
This kid loves his food!! His is the absolute messiest eater I have ever seen! We now strip all of his clothing off before we feed him so that all of his clothing doesn't get ruined. Here is a video of him jabbering. He does a lot of that lately.

He's turning into a little boy. It is sooooo sad!

All of the kids right after waking up, notice the crazy hair and PJ's!

Thank You to our Soldiers!!

A friend sent me an e-mail with this in it: CLICK HERE FOR MOVIE.

I thought it was kind of neat. Here is her website: http://www.gratitudecampaign.org/index.php. It has the story behind her ideas and some other things. I thought is was neat because it is such a simple silent way to say Thank You that is easy to do and it doesn't make anyone feel uncomfortable or awkward.

Spring is here ........ Finally!!!

We decided to take advantage of the nice weather today and went to the park. We packed up and headed to Grandma's for a little visit (dad headed for the mountains with the 4 wheeler). There is a nice little park near my mom and dad's house that the girls love. Kyler seemed content in the sun. This was really the first time he spent more than a few minutes in the sun and he had a huge grin on his face the whole time.

(I love this picture, check out Kelsie's face and Kamrin's hair!!!)

It was nice to finally get to wear short sleeves, capri's and flip flops! I just hope that the sunshine is here to stay.

After completely wearing out the kids we headed to the theatre to see Nim's Island. It was a very good movie, the girls loved it!!

My friend Brandi did this on her blog and I was curious to see what my name said about me, so this is what it came up with:

What Heather Means

You are truly an original person. You have amazing ideas, and the power to carry them out.

Success comes rather easily for you... especially in business and academia.

Some people find you to be selfish and a bit overbearing. You're a strong person.

You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone.

You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together.

At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together.

You are usually the best at everything ... you strive for perfection.

You are confident, authoritative, and aggressive.

You have the classic "Type A" personality.

You are a seeker. You often find yourself restless - and you have a lot of questions about life.

You tend to travel often, to fairly random locations. You're most comfortable when you're far away from home.

You are quite passionate and easily tempted. Your impulses sometimes get you into trouble.

You are wild, crazy, and a huge rebel. You're always up to something.

You have a ton of energy, and most people can't handle you. You're very intense.

You definitely are a handful, and you're likely to get in trouble. But your kind of trouble is a lot of fun.

It was kind of fun ti see how some fit and some don't. Anyway if you want to try for yourself click here.

Our Sunday Drive

We loaded into the truck this afternoon and went for a little Sunday drive. We went to a place that Josh goes 4 wheeling because he wanted to show us some elk that he had seen there wintering. So we decided to take my new camera and try to take a few pictures and learn how to use the thing. As, we got closer to the spot the sky got darker and it started snowing....

But, as we kept driving the sun started to shine again and we got a few pictures. I am going to have to save up and buy the lens with better zoom, but for now the quality of the pictures with this camera is much better than my old one.

Finally, right before we headed home we saw a few elk on the side of the road. I was able to get this picture. The sad thing is they were closer, but I was so excited to take a picture of them that I forgot to use what little zoom that I did have. Oh, well it was fun to see and we had a great time together. The girls love looking for things through the binoculars and spotting scope, they are daddy's girls for sure!

Kyler in the Tub & Girls Playing!

Kyler loves the tub!! He is going to fit right in our family, since we spend a lot of time around water. Now if we could only get Kamrin to like it too...

I was able to catch a picture of the girls playing... they won't look at the camera anymore. I am lucky if I can get them to look at me for long!

Stadium of Fire!!

Josh and I went to the stadium of fire when we were first married and had no children. We loved it! We talked about how cool it would be to get to go and take our kids one day. We decided that this year would be a good year to go. Kels and Kamrin are getting older and Kyler is sooo easy to take places. Well, on The 1st they announced that Miley Cyrus aka Hannah Montana was the performer attending, along with the Blue Man group and Glenn Beck as the host.

I got a little disappointed realizing that it would be virtually impossible to get a ticket with that kind of entertainment. I decided that I would still try. Tickets went on sale at 5 pm today and I was able to get some! I am so excited because Kelsie loves Hannah Montana! We aren't telling the girls who we are going to see, we are going to surprise them!
