Kyler is 5 months old!

I cannot believe that Kyler has been here for five months! It seems like just yesterday I was still pregnant. He is such a joy to have at home. I was truly blessed with an amazing baby. He is so patient, easy going and happy. We have had a bit of a struggle since his 4 month check up. He only weighs twelve pounds. So he hasn't gained any weight from his 2 month well check. We had to change his feeding routine and I had to start to supplement with formula. Well, this made our feeding time very long and close together. After weekly weight checks and still no gain, I ended up having to stop breast feeding and going straight to formula. This has proved to be better in the feeding area, but still no weight gain after two weeks. So, now we mix the formula different so that it is more concentrated and contains more calories. We will see what happens at his next weight check! Hopefully, he has gained some! He isn't loosing weight so that is a good sign and he is happy and upbeat, so he isn't malnourished! The hardest part of the whole thing is that I had to stop breastfeeding, we were doing so well and that bond is hard to break. I feed him his bottle snuggled up close to me! Here are a few pictures taken over the last few weeks:

He has learned to roll over and as soon as he does he gets upset and starts screaming!

He sticks everything in his mouth and slobbers a ton!

Moved, Finally!

We finally got moved, almost anyway. There are still a few things at the other house, but for the most part we are done. The whole experience reminded me why I hate moving and also why it's nice. I hate it because it's a lot of hard work and it wears you out, but it forces you to organize things, take things that you don't need to the DI and clean everything super good! So right now it feels nice to have a super clean house, now the housing market needs to pick up a little bit so that we can get the other house sold! Here are a few pictures we took of the new place.
Our bed is super heavy so for now we are sleeping on the mattresses without a frame or anything, nice ,huh?

This is the master bath. We decided that we aren't putting anything on the walls, so I only get to decorate a little bit. Oh, well simple is good for me right now.
We had to take the leaf out of the table in order for it to fit in the space. We are much closer at the dinner table now. I do miss my red kitchen walls!
This is our great room. I am taking this picture from the office, it opens up to the great room. I can sit at the office and look at the kids playing. So it's ideal for blogging!! Notice the moving box by the couch, nice touch, huh!)

We are pretty excited about this change in our lives. We are two minutes from the elementary school, three minutes from the high school, and about a minute from the church! I have been on time everywhere that I've gone since we moved!

Moving...

Well, yesterday Josh came up with this crazy idea. We are moving! Not only are we moving, but we are doing it this weekend. We decided that it would be much easier to show a house if it is vacant. So, we are packing up and moving into one of our rental houses in town. Crazy and so last minute as it seems, I am actually relieved because it is so much easier to show a vacant home. Anyway, we won't have internet until Tuesday so until then.......

So you want to be a Golden Girl.......

The dance team at CSI is called the Golden Girls. Odd name, I know. While I was there about 8 years ago we tried to get it changed, obviously with no luck, considering that is what it is still called. We got made fun of every time that we traveled to a new place. It would probably be okay if it wasn't for the fact that the television sitcom "The Golden Girls" is about women much older that us and that is what we were associated with each time the announcer introduced us onto the basketball floor. Oh, well tradition is tradition...

I got a call earlier this week that CSI was doing a Mini Golden Girl fund raiser. It was a small camp where kids 6-12 could be a golden girl for a day. They got to do everything from performing at halftime and time outs, to practicing, and introducing the team. They spent the whole afternoon on the basketball floor with them at the girls and boys games vs. Snow college after a two hour practice. This year is the first year that Kels has been old enough to participate. She was excited and had a ton of fun. They definitely wore her out!

(The video has people standing and walking in front of me at times, it's the best I could get.)

I've been tagged......twice

I've been tagged twice and haven't done it so I'll do them both here now.

First, I was tagged by STEF:
A. The Rules are posted at the beginning. B. Each player answers about themselves. C. At the end of the post, the player tags 5 people, posts their names, and goes to their blogs letting them know they've been tagged.

5 Things I Was Doing 10 Years Ago:
1. I was a junior in high school. Living life and enjoy every minute of it!
2. Busy competition season with my dance studio!
3. Preparing to take ACT and decide what to do for college.
4. Attending Seminary.
5.Homework??

5 Things On My To-Do List Today:
1. Do exercise video
2. Get ready for dance practice
3. Do laundry
4. Do some cleaning
5. Prepare for mutual.

5 Snacks I Enjoy:
1. Ice cream
2. Dark chocolate especially with raspberries!
3. Brownies
4. Chips and Salsa
5. Veggies with dip of course

5 Things I'd Do if I Were a Billionaire:
1. Help others with it.(Help nieces, nephews, bro, and sisters go to college, etc.)
2. Travel, Travel, Travel!
3. Pay off house, car, etc.
4. Buy a Truck!
5. Invest so that it lasts me a very, very long time!

3 Bad Habits:
1. I bit my nails . To solve that problem I have acrylic nails. No more biting!!
2. I have a hard time saying no. I am infamous for taking on too much just bacause I can't say no. This leads me to get stressed out.... you see the cycle right?
3. I procrastinate! How I ever completed my term paper (that I knew I'd have to do two years earlier) to get my BA in two days I'll never know, but I did it and passed with flying colors.

5 Jobs I've Had:
1. Cranney Farms- soil and tissue sampler, GPS helper.
2. Ag Air- Filled farm spray planes with the chemicals to spray on fields.
3. Target- worst job ever. I like shopping at Target, but hated working there. I only lasted four months. Crappy management.

4.Magic Valley Regional Medical Center- first the food service department and the onto xray reception, then to xray scheduling-radiologist assistant.
5. Idaho Department of Corrections-worked with felons, enough said. I did however love this job, it was just time to be a stay at home mom and care for my kids!

5 Things You Probably Don't Know About Me
1. I love to do things outside, I know my husband thinks that I am a baby about it, but I love the outdoors. I just love to be clean also. I have no problem going anywhere as long as I can shower or bathe in a reasonable amount of time.
2.I really like to read. In fact, I can read pretty quickly. Thank goodness because I don't get to do it as often as I would like.
3. My degree is in Bio-social Criminology. Pretty Fancy sounding, huh?
4. I have to be busy all of the time. If I'm not doing something I'll go crazy. I can't really watch TV unless I'm doing something else at the same time.
5. I cry during movies and sad TV shows, ok and sometimes church. Anyone who's watched a movie with me knows that, but that's all that I have. Just ask Josh what happens when I watch 8 seconds. It's a good laugh between him and some of his friends.

I was also tagged by Laurie.

I get to list six unimportant things/habits/quirks about myself. (And believe me, these are very unimportant things but they are definately about me!)

1. I am obsessed with vacuuming. I vacuum more than once a day and have been known to vacuum in the wee hours of the morning. I have a family of very heavy sleepers. If I know people are coming I vacuum. If I'm bored I vacuum. I even vacuum my car a few times a week. This gas station in town has awesome vacuums!

2. I love McDonalds chocolate chip cookies. Not much for gourmet but oh so good and oh so cheap! (3/$1.00) We find ourselves going to the drive through occasionally to get these yummy cookies!!

3. I always have a candle burning at my house. I light in when I wake up and put it out when I go to sleep. I only like Salt City candles, so the local rep here loves me. Burning this much only uses about 1 and a half candles a month. So, it's really not that expensive of a habit and my house always smells good!

4. I don't like to wear shoes (or socks). I get the mail, even in the winter, in bare feet. I feed the dogs in bare feet. Nothing bothers them not even snow, rain, rocks, dirt, cold, heat, you get the point.... I think that it is because they are so calloused from dancing en pointe for so long. (I do wear shoes in public though)

5. I can't stand country music. It gives me a headache. It is too depressing. I just don't like it. This causes many fights with my husband in the car. The only exception is Johnny Cash, I like his voice.

6. I have a list of places that I want to visit before I die. Most of them will have to wait for the future when there are no kids at home, but I have been able to travel to a few of them. Poland, Prague, London, Scotland, Costa Rica, Martha's Vineyard, Boston, California, Florida, Oregon, etc. There are 150 items located in various places on the list all over the world and I've already seen 43 of them.

Okay, now I tag anyone who would like to do this. Amber, Brandi, Ashley, anyone (I don't even know if 6 people read this). It's actually pretty fun to think about your answers.

Here are the rules:
* Link to the person that tagged you.
* Post the rules on your blog.
* Share 6 non-important things/habits/quirks about yourself.
* Tag 6 random people at the end of your post by linking to their blogs.
* Let each person know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their website.

Oodle and Oodles of Noodles

Me and Kamrin decided to make my grandma's recipe for chicken and noodles today. They are so yummy!! We always make quite the mess, but it is sure worth it in the end. I love the smell of the crockpot cooking them all day!

Twin Falls Temple

I just found this awesome picture of the Twin Falls temple. The exterior is almost finished. It looks beautiful, especially all lit up. I still can't believe that there is a temple being built here!!

Ode to La Fiesta's Salsa

This may really be the lamest post I have ever made..... but here goes. I am seriously addicted to the salsa at a local restaurant. In fact, if I was creative I would write a poem in it's behalf. Our friends took us to this place awhile ago and now we go quite frequently, mostly for the chips and salsa (the food is good too, I'm usually just full of chips and salsa before I get to it). I even find myself stopping on a regular basis just to get salsa to go. The flavor in this Salsa is amazing and it always tastes just like is was made minutes before it is brought to the table. I recommend it to all!

This is neat.....

I found this while browsing on you tube. It's worth watching!! Since Pres. Hinkley's passing I have been so pleased with all of the tributes that people have made to Pres. Hinkley. They have inspired me to be better, to do better things, to be more like him.

Snow Days!!

We are on our third snow day in a row! I can't remember the last time that we had one and now they just keep on coming. The kids are tired of being cooped up inside and so am I! The weather hasn't stopped us much. We live on the outskirts of town so we aren't affected much by the bad roads most of the time. We have had a crazy week, it's seems like we had so much to do. So, here's a little recap of our week:

Monday: Family Birthday party for Kelsie.(Notice that she refuses to take off her Hannah Montana rockstar headset!) After the party we had to make treats for the Kindergarten class. We didn't want to make cupcakes because that's what almost everyone else does for birthdays, so Kelsie made pudding cups with gummi worms and oreos. They were cute and she helped me make them.

Tuesday: Ran all of our errands for the week and took Kels to lunch for her birthday! The kids were all so tired that by the time we got home they were all asleep. I took this after pulling into the garage.

Kelsie being sung to at La Fiesta for her birthday!

Wednesday:
Birthday Party with some friends from school & church. She has good friends that spoiled her.

Thursday:
I got a call from the school at about 9:00. School was cancelled we had to pick up Kelsie early.

Friday:
No school again!!

Saturday:
Dance competition in Twin. All long day! The girls danced so good!! Kyler was good all day as he got drug around!(The girls took my camera while I was doing something and had a photo shoot wit Kyler.)
I am soooo nervous!!!
