Kelsie Riding a Bike

Kelsie is probably one of the only six year olds with training wheels on her bicycle. We got her a bicycle for her birthday in January and she hasn't had much of a chance to ride it around because of the weather and our moving. We brought it to the rental a couple of weeks ago and she has been quite content to ride with the training wheels on, in fact she has been pretty persistent in telling us that she does not need to remove the training wheels. Ever. End of story. Yesterday, to my surprise, one of the neighbor kids comes over to tell me that his older sister is taking off the training wheels and she is going to teach Kelsie how to ride her bike and Kelsie is okay with all of this. So, I go outside to see what is going on and they had gotten the training wheels off and were trying to help her. She was having quite the time figuring it out and fell over many, many times. Josh got home about this time and was helping her. I took a few pictures and was off to a meeting. I was sure that she was almost done and we would have to try more today. I returned 1 1/2 hours later and she could ride!! She didn't stop until she could do it! I am so proud of her. She was pretty determined!
