{Thanksgiving & More}

We had a very simple Thanksgiving at Josh's moms house. We had spent the week moving, so it was nice to be able to stay close and not have to travel. We ate a great meal that we all pitched in to make. Josh's mom lives across the street in the next subdivision so we really didn't go far. All of Josh's brothers and sisters were there except for one, so the house was pretty full. We all made a leaf to go on a big tree that Josh's mom drew and put on the wall. Everyone had to write what they were thankful for on a leaf and place it on the tree. I think that this year even more than ever we all knew that we had so many things to be thankful for. We have all been blessed with homes, jobs, plenty to eat, and we know who our Savior is. Considering the way things are in our country today that is a lot.

We were also able to get some tickets to the BSU vs. Fresno state game on Friday. We had great seats and had a great time watchng Bsu cream Fresno State. The final score a whopping 61-10. Ian Johnson, a senior tied Marshall Faulk for the most TD's in the WAC, so that was neat to be there for. He is the one who ran the statue of liberty play for a TD during the 2007 Fiesta Bowl. It was fun to get to go and get out after all of the moving!!

{Great Thanksgiving Idea}

If you go to this web site, http://www.letssaythanks.com/Home1024.html you can pick out a thank you card and Xerox will print it and it will be sent to a soldier that is currently serving in Iraq . You can't pick out who gets it, but it will go to a member of the armed services.
How AMAZING it would be if we could get everyone we know to send one!!! It is FREE and it only takes a second.
Wouldn't it be wonderful if the soldiers received a bunch of these? Whether you are for or against the war, our soldiers over there need to know we are behind them. This takes just 10 seconds and it's a wonderful way to say thank you. Please take the time to do it and please take the time to pass it on for others to do. We can never say enough thank you's.

{Home for the Holidays}

I think that today is a bittersweet day for us...after having our home on the market for six months and living in a rental we have decided to take it off of the market and move home!! It is sad because we will have to wait to build a new home, but I am so thankful that I have a place to call home!! With the way things are economically right now so many people don't. I am so glad that we will be "Home for the Holidays."
(Nicke, I will only be a mile away now so now i should be easier for you to come and learn how to digital scrapbook and Kyler really needs a play date with Sara..)

{Kamrin}

Kamrin is getting quite the personality...I'm not really sure where she gets it but she's clever. I love the school that she attends. They do a great job with the kids. She attends the preschool at the college and it is the lab for the childhood development students. Because they are learning from our kids we get lots of information on what Kamrin does and says in the classroom. Each student is required to send home slips with the student when they recognize a specific "moment" that the child is used for teaching purposes. I love getting these notes sent home.... here are a couple of the last few examples.
1. During morning circle Susan read The Kissing Hand. Kamrin told the group,"Everyday when my dad kisses me, my heart gets tingled."

2. "I love Josh, and he tells me he loves me everyday." (The teacher thought that she had a great imagination until I explained to her that Josh was her dad, not an imaginary boyfriend.)

3. Out of the blue while Kamrin was working on a project she told everyone, "I love my family, they are very special to me."

I love having Kamrin in our home, she has such a sweet spirit. One of my favorite parts of being a mother is seeing your children grow and change. It's nice to see them actually grasp the concepts you try to teach them each day. It definately makes up for all of those hard, challenging days.

Rolo Cookies

Ingredients:
1 chocolate cake mix
2 eggs
1/2 c. oil
rolos candy

Directions:
Mix cake mix, eggs, and oil. Make balls and put a rolo in the middle. Bake at 350 for 8 min.
